The Opportunity
Salary: £44,075 to £47,181per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: Based at County Hall, Chichester – hybrid working options

As the Commercial Contracts Officer, you will support and act as deputy to the Principal FM Contract Manager for the FM building maintenance contract and partnering relationship management for service delivery across all County Council Directorates. This includes active coordination of all formal contract processes and performance measures.
The NEC4 term service contract has a value of circa £7m per annum, with a core term value of circa £35m and provides a wide range of statutory and essential building maintenance activities. This is delivered across all corporate properties. There is also potential to deliver capital projects of an additional £6m per annum through the contract.
You will also provide line management and supervision of the Commercial Business Support Assistant.
What are we looking for?
* You will be flexible in your approach and will initially drive the process management side of key contract data generation, sharing and storage.
* You will be keen to learn new techniques and skills whilst on the job, continuously developing your NEC4 contract knowledge and maintaining a sharp eye for process management improvements, where possible.
* This will enable you to take a lead on contract negotiations where you will have delegated authority to maintain and develop contract output performance using measurement tools such as KPI’s and other benchmarking techniques.
* You will also be required to provide technical commercial support and guidance to the Operations Team to manage the performance in relation to planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance across WSCC’s corporate estate.
