Senior Credit Lead – Finance Operations
We’re looking for a Senior Credit Lead to join our Finance Operations team. The role is hands‑on, high‑impact and requires ownership of cash collection, customer relationships, and resolving complex issues end‑to‑end. You will manage your own portfolio, act as the senior escalation point, and support a team of Credit Controllers.
Role is hybrid: in‑office Monday–Wednesday, with flexibility to work from home rest of the week.
Responsibilities
* Own end‑to‑end collections across your customer portfolio.
* Pick up the phone and proactively engage customers to resolve payment issues quickly.
* Prioritise aged debt and strategise approach to maximise cash collection.
* Act as the go‑to escalation point for complex queries and disputes.
* Partner with Billing, Sales, and Account Management to unblock issues.
* Support and guide Credit Controllers to deliver against targets.
* Maintain a clean, accurate ledger and resolve anomalies.
* Drive process improvements in a busy, evolving environment.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in credit control/collections in a complex environment.
* Strong problem‑solving skills; spot and fix issues.
* Confidence to handle challenging conversations and pick up the phone.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities.
* Commercial mindset, balancing cash and customer.
* Experience supporting or mentoring others.
* Comfortable working with systems such as ERPs, NetSuite, and ServiceNow.
