Commercial Lawyer, London, Media Focus, 5+ PQE
We are currently working with a leading alternative legal service provider who is actively recruiting for a commercial lawyer in the media sector. Our client has an active requirement for a six-month contract working with a leading media outlet.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive experience in drafting commercial contracts, particularly across TV, film and radio
* Experience working with Pact/Equity agreements.
* Proficiency in negotiating contributor agreements for TV productions, covering a range of roles such as writers, directors, cast, CANS, and producers.
Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a solution-oriented approach.
Preferred qualifications also include:
Experience with financing agreements for film and television, including IPAs, security documentation, and tax credit documentation.
Negotiation expertise in commissioning, acquisition, and licensing of television programs.
Familiarity with music licensing, primarily understanding the considerations involved (drafting not mandatory).
While we await further details on budget expectations and working arrangements from the client, we anticipate a likely hybrid model.
