About The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands‑on engineering experience who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment and is eager to contribute to innovative projects.
Key Duties
* Confidently remove and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Fault find and repair low‑voltage PLC‑based control and safety systems.
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
* Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries to site as a second person.
* Wash, strip, prepare, paint, and reassemble equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organised workshop, yard, and building.
* Support general building maintenance tasks.
* Collaborate with the stores person to organise stock and parts.
Requirements
* A valid UK driving licence.
* Proven engineering experience across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Practical knowledge of PLC control systems.
* A hands‑on, proactive approach to workshop tasks.
* Willingness to travel to site using a pool vehicle when required.
* Must be commutable to Waltham Abbey.
