Senior Team Leader
As a Senior Team Leader, you will report to the Contract Supervisor. The role requires strong organizational skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the contract, working collaboratively with the Contract Supervisor to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaise with your line manager to ensure the team has the resources required to fulfill their tasks.
2. Coordinate staffing requirements by producing reports and plans.
3. Participate in interviewing and recruiting new employees, following company procedures to ensure contract compliance.
4. Monitor and approve employee holidays.
5. Create work programmes and assist with service delivery, maintaining administrative records.
6. Prioritize team workload.
7. Oversee vehicle and machinery maintenance.
8. Issue notices for rectification and improvements, ensuring team awareness of conditions.
Other Responsibilities
1. Communicate with customers, line managers, and suppliers regarding work and absences.
2. Monitor work quality and compliance with inspection programs and quality standards.
3. Recommend service improvements.
4. Ensure timely completion of workforce timesheets.
5. Provide quotations for services.
6. Support environmental standards and ISO 14001 compliance.
7. Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
Health and Safety
1. Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act and company policies.
2. Follow instructions from line managers regarding health and safety.
3. Be knowledgeable of relevant health and safety regulations.
4. Complete necessary induction and safety modules before work begins.
5. Ensure safety of yourself and others, promoting safe practices and equipment safety.
Machine Maintenance and Security
1. Ensure understanding of machinery suitability and safety.
2. Use machinery according to manuals and report defects immediately.
3. Complete maintenance and check sheets and secure equipment when not in use.
Quality and Customer Care
1. Operate in accordance with ISO9001 and quality management systems.
2. Be aware of daily tasks and quality standards.
3. Maintain professional conduct and complete administrative tasks promptly.
4. Operate in an environmentally responsible manner, minimizing impact and handling waste properly.
Qualifications
* Horticultural qualification or relevant experience.
* Practical qualifications such as chainsaw or pesticide certification.
* CSCS card.
Personal Characteristics
* High initiative and self-motivation.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
* Flexible and customer-focused.
* Leadership qualities.
