Job Description
We’re looking for an HR Business Partner who can balance credible employee relations leadership with deep expertise in HR systems, data and process improvement. This is a high-impact role in a complex, Belfast-based, unionised, manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who thrives on influence, insight and execution.
The opportunity
You’ll be a trusted partner to site leadership, owning the full HR agenda while also acting as the driving force behind HR systems optimisation, data integrity and process governance. In short: you’ll turn people data into insight, systems into enablers, and HR strategy into reality.
The Role:
* Partnering with senior leaders to embed best-practice HR across performance, talent, reward, absence, and engagement
* Leading complex employee relations and structured collective bargaining with confidence and credibility
* Coaching managers to raise capability, accountability and performance
* Owning the HRIS: day-to-day performance, configuration, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement
* Translating HR and workforce data into clear dashboards, analytics, and decision-ready insights
* Acting as the bridge between HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors
* Governing HR processes, policies, and documentation
* Ensuring compliance, GDPR integrity and a relentless focus on efficiency and improvement
The Candidate:
* CIPD Level 5+ (or equivalent senior HR experience); degree advantageous
* Proven senior HR experience in an operational, manufacturing environment, with a keen understanding of unionised environments
* Strong track record with HR systems, reporting, analytics, and system-led change
* Up-to-date employment law knowledge and confident ER judgement
* A data-driven, commercially minded approach with a continuous improvement mindset
* Gravitas, influence, and the ability to build trust at all levels
