Role Summary
Drive corporate strategy activities across the company, including:
* Assess the commercial opportunities across company activities, including regulatory and market reimbursement environment for specific therapeutics and disease indications.
* Assess the competitor landscape in the disease indications of interest to the company.
* Support business development strategy of the company’s pipeline.
* Work with the IP Lead on the relationship between IP strategy and commercial success.
* Support CEO/LT on strategic, corporate and operational activities as needed
* Prepare the papers for board meetings, circulate minutes of Board meetings and follow up on actions that need completion from Board meetings.
Key Deliverables
* Develop and produce quality deliverables for the Board and the company including presentations, reports, workshops and key findings summaries.
* Support CEO/Executive Chair with Business Development activities as required, including formation and execution of strategic partnerships, collaborations and licencing agreements.
* Work collaboratively across the organisation collate and synthesize information necessary to inform strategic decisions, and help drive therapeutic programme prioritisation.
* Act as point person coordinating strategic technical reviews synthesising information from the leadership, external experts and summarising the company’s position on key corporate scientific, clinical, regulatory or commercial questions that drive pipeline strategy.
* Perform commercial analyses and assessments, synthesise the insights from the analysis, develop recommendations based on the insights, and create action plans to implement the recommendations.
* Proactively monitor the competitive landscape and ensure findings are reflected in company decision-making.
* Support the CEO/Executive Chair in corporate activities such as: strategic planning, communications, external outreach activities, marketing materials, corporate objective execution; ad-hoc support or lead of strategic initiatives e.g. preparation of Board materials.
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Bachelor’s degree in life sciences from a leading university with an outstanding record of academic achievement.
* Master’s degree and/or advanced professional degree is highly desirable (e.g. PhD, MBA)
* 2+ years of consulting experience alongside 3+ years in the life sciences industry in reputable firms is preferred, though other business and strategy roles will be also be considered.
* Deep understanding of how Life Sciences/Healthcare industry operates including products, players, regulatory frameworks, reimbursement processes, value chain business models, operating models and industry trends and challenges.
* Proficiency across various consulting and research methodologies, strategy frameworks tools and techniques.
* Highly credible and versatile in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders with exceptional written, visual and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build trust others and build constructive working relationships across the organisation.
* Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
