Drug and Alcohol Recovery Support Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Support Worker within HMP Inverness. Working under the supervision of senior clinical colleagues, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by substance misuse. You will assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of recovery-focused care, in line with national and local guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to individuals with drug and alcohol-related issues, some of whom may have complex needs.
* Deliver safe and effective care within a prison setting, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Support the coordination and management of recovery plans, working closely with registered nursing staff, prison staff, and external agencies.
* Promote harm reduction strategies, self-care, and lifestyle changes to improve health and wellbeing.
* Participate in therapeutic group activities and one-to-one interventions aimed at supporting recovery and reducing relapse.
* Assist with general duties within the Health Centre, including supporting clinics.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of treatment plans and contribute to ongoing care reviews.
