Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Medical Examiner Service at Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit/appoint 1 Medical Examiner, whom are willing to undertake a minimum of 1 PA of Consultants time (4 hr session morning or afternoon). There is also a requirement for weekend working on a rota basis. The Medical Examiner post is based at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, this is not a remote position.
Applications are invited and welcomed from colleagues both in Primary & Secondary care settings whom have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience and are GMC Registered. Successful candidates must have completed the online ME Training available on the E-lfh website before commencement in post. There is also a requirement for face to face (remote) training within 6 months of appointment. Essential
Education & Qualifications
Medical practitioner registered and licensed to practice with the GMC with 5 years or more experience
Working knowledge of practice in a healthcare environment, preferably in the UK
Candidate will have successfully completed the approved components of the national on-line training curriculum as a precondition of employment as a Medical Examiner. Confirmation of appointment is subject to successful completion of 'face to face' component of the national training curriculum. (Note: access to on-line training will be available to all medical practitioners registered & licensed to practice in the UK by the GMC)
