Due to expansion and growth in the existing team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a successful, ambitious, growing company.
The successful candidate will be expected to represent the company in a well-presented and well-mannered approach. Dealing directly with the client during the installation or maintenance process, you would be required to install or repair to the company’s stringent high-quality standards
Duties include:
* Installations, Service, Maintenance & fault-finding on a range of automatic gates, barriers & bollards
* Responsible for installing new gate automation systems for the whole of the UK and undertaking maintenance of existing systems
* Working with a range of commercial, industrial and large residential clients
* Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site
* Carry out effective communications with the client and the administration team
* Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to the guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe.
* Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team
* Reacting to P1 emergency callouts.
* Reporting directly back to head office on completion of all works.
Preferred qualifications, but not essential would include:
* CSCS Card or ECS Card (skilled worker preferred)
* Electrical qualifications, domestic installer status including Part-P, Wiring Regs and testing and inspecting.
Benefits:
Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday 07.30 – 16.30

Personal Objectives
* Technical knowledge of Gate Automation
* Have at least 2 years of experience within the gate and barrier industry
* Have knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic & mechanical automation systems
* Be able to work to a high standard on your own initiative and be responsible for your work
* Always act professionally and with respect for others
* Be able to complete basic job forms such as daily worksheets and risk assessments
* To be conscientious and honest at all times
* Be flexible on working hours
* To be prepared to work long days and out of hours on occasion
* Enjoy physical work
* A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate are a must
