Integrated Fire Safety Systems – Sprinkler Design Engineer
The Position
Looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is taking steps towards a rewarding career within the construction industry. The successful candidate shall form a crucial support role to the Sprinkler installations team in a rapidly growing fire detection and suppression company. The successful candidate shall gain expert knowledge and training, with fantastic opportunities to grow and develop within the role and beyond. The position will be hybrid remote working with site visits within London and the South East.
Key Accountabilities:
-Designing and peer reviewing BSEN12845 compliant systems
-Designing and peer reviewing BS9251 compliant systems
-Assisting the team with producing compliant estimates and quotations.
-Assisting with and completing both internal and 3rd party site and office compliance audits
-Accurate record-keeping, ensuring QA spreadsheets and databases are always up-to-date.
-Uploading of quality documents to the project database and general upkeep of on-line folders.
-Assist the project management team in the completion of QA checks, As-Builts and work snagging.
-Build healthy working relationships with all clients and colleagues.
Required
-Proven working knowledge and industry recognised certified training for designing BSEN12845 and BS9251 systems.
-Relevant industry training (BAFSA, RSA, XACT, FIRAS). Training or experience with FHC (Canute) desirable.
-Honest
-Proficiency with Auto Cad or similar software
-Able to work from home and commute into London. Ideally based in the South East or London area

-Technically minded
-Strong mathematical & writing skills, ideally with GCSE Grade 7/8 or B or higher in Maths, and English.
-Experience drafting tech subs, O&M manuals
Preferable
-Previous experience within the construction industry.
-Looking for progression within a fast paced growing company

-CSCS Card
-Full, clean driver’s license and own vehicle.
