The Manufacturing Engineering Manager role will be based at HydraForce Hydraulics in Birmingham, England.
Job Description
* Lead the engineering team, achieving high levels of engagement, promoting a resilient, diverse, high-performing team.
* Identify resources required to fulfill projects, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
* Act as an internal liaison with relevant departments and personnel throughout projects to ensure business requirements are met.
* Provide technical leadership and make robust decisions on complex engineering risks and solutions.
* Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects.
* Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
* Develop project plans and track deliverables using appropriate tools.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
* Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, including problems and solutions.
* Ensure quality standards are maintained as a gatekeeper.
* Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, coaching others to contribute both formally and informally.
* Liaise with relevant personnel to efficiently introduce new products using the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in a leadership role within an international engineering business.
* Broad technical experience in your specialization, with knowledge of engineering approaches.
* Experience in Hydraulics is preferred.
* Previous experience in change management.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels and cultures.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
* Proactive issue resolution skills.
* Effective influencing skills to lead and motivate others.
