Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor
Location: Travel across the South (regional offices in South Brent, Yeovil, Bristol, Leighton Buzzard, Basingstoke, and Watton)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Our client is seeking an experienced SHEA Advisor to support construction-related refurbishment projects within social housing across the South of England.
This role involves promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture through on-site engagement, support, and delivery of the company's behavioural safety programme. You will work closely with operational teams, driving safety standards, identifying risks, and encouraging best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
2. Support operational teams with health & safety planning and documentation.
3. Identify and manage SHE risks, opportunities, and issues on projects.
4. Create and review risk assessments, construction phase plans, and environmental impact registers.
5. Assist with incident investigations, including RIDDOR-reportable accidents, lost time incidents, and near misses.
6. Promote effective communication around safety concerns and improvements.
7. Implement updates to SHEQ systems or legislation.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SHE legislation and industry best practices.

About You:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a health & safety role within construction.
2. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (essential).
3. Strong understanding of H&S legislation and construction standards.
4. Experience in social housing sector is desirable.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and within a team.
7. Proficient with digital systems (training provided).
8. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regionally.
