Employability Trainer in Traffic Management Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Having secured contracts across the West Midlands for the next 3 - 4 years, due to our success on our AEB and local authority contracts, we are now seeking an additional Employability Trainer to join our OFSTED rated Good provider, based in Halesowen at our training HQ. You will be supported by an experienced trainer, building upon your employability knowledge whilst introducing the traffic management sector to you. We have pre-existing, written, tried and tested traffic management programmes, no prior knowledge is needed. At Vocation Training, we believe in enhancing skills and changing lives. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging training that combines employability skills with UK traffic management principles, introducing learners to Chapter 8 requirements and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice (Red Book) using Vocation Trainings approved programmes. Support learners to achieve industry-recognised traffic management qualifications, embedding health and safety, risk awareness, and professional behaviours required for working safely on or near the public highway. Provide group delivery and one-to-one support, monitor progress and attendance, and maintain accurate records in line with OFSTED Good practice, internal quality assurance, and help with contractual requirements Deliver inspiring, engaging, and enjoyable training sessions to both groups and individual unemployed learners. Foster a positive, supportive environment that motivates participants to grow in confidence, earn qualifications, and seize employment opportunities, helping guide learners through tailored individual development plans and one-to-one sessions, celebrating their progress at every step. Facilitate interactive group tasks, CV-writing sessions, and occasional online learning to meet diverse learner needs and to provide constructive and insightful feedback to empower learners to overcome barriers and unleash their potential. Monitor, evaluate, and enhance training processes to deliver an outstanding learning experience and accurately report daily attendance and uphold policies on Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection, and Safeguarding. Skills & Experience Required A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Award in Education and Training Level 3 [PTLLS], Cert Ed) and experience teaching post-16 learners. A valid UK driving license and access to your own transport. Experience of working with unemployed learners. Understanding and knowledge of working with a mix of people from all backgrounds An awareness of safeguarding and OFSTED inspections Additional Information Salary between £27k - £32k (depending on experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 5.00 PM. Free car parking on-site. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) A two-week closure at Christmas with no holiday allowance required. Comprehensive training is provided with ready-made course content. Successful candidates must provide original or certified documents, pass an identity check, verify entitlement to work in the UK, complete a DBS application and two reference checks.
