Summary:
Performs intermediate-level activities involved in the scheduling, planning, movement, and repair of materials. Activities include service parts planning, purchasing, distribution, warehousing, reverse logistics, repair and recovery operations, follow-up activities, and entry-level workflow preparation. Works independently, using independent judgment most of the time.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
* Oversees inventory integrity and restocking; manages onsite inventory, including spare parts.
* Processes repairs, manages stock, and delivers parts to technicians.
* Controls inventory from vendors, manages budget, proposes stock level adjustments, and analyzes records.
* Processes requisitions, monitors stock levels, and tracks orders.
* Maintains cross-reference systems and tracks nonconforming parts.
* Works with managers to stay within budget.
* Resolves inventory issues, participates in physical inventories, and works with accounting.
* Participates in training for purchasing and management skills.
* Sources and evaluates vendors.
* Supports purchasing with difficult parts research.
* Recommends inventory reduction or transfer strategies.
* Follows up on overdue orders and reduces POE and invoice issues.
* Implements cost reduction programs and reports results.
* Assists with system parts transactions and warranty claims.
* Coordinates with managers on task status.
* Prepares performance data and ensures ISO compliance.
* May create and manage work schedules using computerized systems.
* Participates in quality initiatives, improves processes, and adheres to safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
* Associate's degree or equivalent, plus 3 years of related experience, or 5 years of combined education and experience.
* Ability to read, write, and present information effectively; perform basic math and interpret graphs; understand and follow instructions; solve problems involving multiple variables.
Desirable KSAs:
* Team player, organized, self-motivated, able to prioritize.
* Excellent communication skills with team members, customers, and management.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Requires standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and talking. Occasionally sitting and lifting over 50 pounds. Visual requirements include close vision. Exposure to outdoor weather, electrical hazards, noise, and potentially hazardous materials in a factory environment.
