We are working in partnership with a Local Authority to appoint an experienced Community Resource Worker to join their Children and Families Services Team! As a Community Resource Worker you will be expected to assess the emotional, physical, intellectual and cultural needs of both child and carer particularly from the community and to respond to families in crisis and children in need. Key responsibilities will include the following: Develop and deliver a preventative service and where appropriate to rehabilitate, maintain and improve the quality of care provided both inside and outside the family group. Further the provision of the Department's services to children and families as required by relevant legislation. Making decisions relating to the operation of individual and group programmes to meet the needs of children/young people and their carers, responding to crisis situations as laid down by authority guidelines and unit priorities.To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following: Minimum 2 years experience of working with children and/young people in need, looked after or subject to child protection work. 12 months experience working with issues of Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol, Domestic Violence in a Children/family setting.If your experience meets the requirements, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity today!
