A Day in the Life of a Kitchen Porter Lead
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage the kitchen porter team
* Create staff rotas to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
* Oversee washing of kitchenware and deep cleaning of equipment and storage areas
* Manage stock and deliveries, including chemical usage
* Ensure food safety and hygiene compliance
* Assist with basic food preparation
* Meet any other management requests
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of kitchen porter experience
* Level 2 Food Safety & Health and Safety knowledge
* At least 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred)
* Legal right to work in the UK and have resided in-country for the past 5 years
* A can-do attitude and team-oriented approach
* Passion for cleanliness, hospitality, and the food industry
* Advanced English communication skills
