?? Autism Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | September Start | Reading ?? Location: Reading ?? Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm ?? They’re now looking to welcome a Teaching Assistant to their team for a full-time, long-term role starting in September. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, nurturing and high-performing school where every student is supported to reach their full potential—whether that’s achieving top GCSE grades, speaking confidently for the first time, or gaining independence in everyday tasks. ?? About the Role: You’ll work alongside an experienced team of teachers, therapists and support staff to provide high-quality, tailored assistance to students with autism across the school (ages 4–19). The focus is on creating a calm, structured and empowering environment that supports both academic and personal progress. Your Day-to-Day Will Involve: • Supporting autistic students in the classroom and during one-to-one sessions • Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and learning activities • Providing personal care with respect and sensitivity when required • Helping to foster a safe and positive learning space • Working closely with staff and families to ensure consistent, individualised support ?? We’re Looking For: • Experience supporting individuals with autism, either in a school, residential or care setting • Someone empathetic, adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges • A team player who can bring energy, flexibility and positivity to the classroom • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities as needed • Psychology graduates or those pursuing careers in SEND, education, therapy or social care are highly encouraged to apply! ??
