Job Title: Road Freight Customs Coordinator

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Road Freight Customs Coordinator to join our growing team in Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with customs experience-particularly in European road freight-to take a hands-on role in coordinating UK and EU import/export declarations using a variety of industry-standard platforms.
You will work closely with operational teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure customs compliance and timely processing of road freight shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work as part of a collaborative customs team, reporting to a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Customs Manager.
2. Accurately process CDS import declarations and CHIEF export declarations using commercial invoices and packing lists.
3. Sign customs and shipping documents under Power of Attorney on behalf of clients, following correct compliance procedures.
4. Liaise directly with importers and internal operations staff to obtain and verify key documentation and data for customs entries.
