Job Title: Supervising Social Worker
Location: Our office is based in Faversham with travel across Kent area
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part time / 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £39,600 - £50,600 dependent on experience (pro rata)
Responsibilities
* Understand the life-changing potential of a safe and supportive home life and support vulnerable children and young people to find suitable foster homes.
* Supervise and advise foster carers, ensuring both carers and children have the support they need to thrive.
* Visit homes, maintain contact with carers and young people, and act as a safeguarding champion for all parties involved.
* Maintain lower caseloads to reduce risk and enable a bespoke, person-centric focus, delivering the best possible outcomes.
* Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to identify and provide appropriate support, including occupational therapy, art therapy, and trauma/attachment clinicians.
* Ensure safety, high standards, and quality of care for children and young people within the local fostering agency.
* Inspire foster carers to grow in confidence and achieve their potential, with a tangible impact on the children in their care.
Who we are looking for
* Passion for building extraordinary lives for children and supporting foster carers to be their best.
* BA or MA degree in social work; registered with the appropriate body; full driving licence.
* Experience in social work with young people who have trauma histories and enhanced needs.
* Willingness to take on real responsibility and engage with the support offered to perform the role effectively.
