Payroll Administrator
Salary: £30,000
Location: Hybrid – Leeds/Yorkshire (minimum 3 days onsite)

About the Role
We are partnering with a growing environmental services business to find a Payroll Administrator who will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely payroll across multiple UK entities. You’ll work closely with HR and Finance teams, helping ensure employees are paid correctly, statutory requirements are met, and payroll processes run smoothly.
What You’ll Do
* Assist with weekly and monthly payroll processing across multiple UK sites
* Maintain and update employee payroll records and spreadsheets
* Process starters, leavers, and contractual changes
* Issue P45s and manage tax code, student loan, and statutory changes
* Support PAYE, National Insurance, pension, and other statutory submissions
* Reconcile payroll reports and provide data to finance
* Calculate and process statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP)
* Respond to payroll queries professionally
* Work with HR and Finance to ensure payroll compliance with HMRC regulations
What You Bring
* Experience in payroll administration or payroll processing
* Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Experience with payroll systems such as Sage 50
* Competent with Excel and data handling
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

* Experience with time and attendance systems
* Experience handling multi-site payroll operations
