Salary: Competitive + bonus + overtime + company van
Do you have plumbing experience or a plumbing qualification but want to use your skills in a different way? This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in a growing specialist industry that protects people from legionnaires' disease and keeps water systems safe.
What you'll be doing
As a Water Hygiene Technician, you'll be part of a small, supportive team carrying out vital work to control and prevent the risk of legionella. Your day-to-day tasks will vary as no two sites are the same, giving you the chance to meet new people and solve different challenges every day.
Typical tasks include:
* Temperature monitoring
* Minor plumbing remedial work
* TMV servicing
* Cold water storage tank cleaning & disinfection
* Showerhead cleaning & disinfection
* Tank inspections & water sampling
* Calorifier inspections
General responsibilities:
* Completing job sheets and reports accurately
* Caring for tools, PPE, van and equipment
* Driving to sites (approx. 2,000 miles/month)
* Maintaining a professional appearance and keeping your van/equipment organised
About you
We're looking for someone with plumbing experience who is:
* Keen to step away from domestic plumbing into a niche and rewarding industry
* Confident in decision-making and problem-solving on the job
* Organised, professional, and accurate in reporting
* A natural communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
* Flexible about travel and occasional overnight stays
Experience in TMV servicing, calorifier inspections, BS8558 disinfection, or water softener servicing would be an advantage, but full training is provided.
What we offer
* Competitive salary with progression opportunities
* Fast-track training programme (11 modules) with mentoring
* Bonus scheme & overtime opportunities
* 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays, increasing with service)
* Company van + full statutory benefits
* 37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri
