Saffron Ddraig is a new vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant bringing authentic flavours with a Welsh twist to Swansea. We are building a warm, professional kitchen where consistency, cleanliness, and pride in service matter as much as flavour.
The roles
We are hiring experienced Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties to help launch and grow the brand.
You will:
* Cook a high-quality vegetarian menu across North and South Indian styles, plus seasonal Welsh–Indian specials
* Run an efficient section, maintain prep plans, and hit ticket times
* Uphold food safety and allergen standards, complete HACCP logs and temperature checks
* Control waste and support accurate stock rotation and counts
* Train and support junior team members and maintain a positive, respectful kitchen culture
* Contribute ideas to menu development and specials
What we are looking for
* Recent experience as a Sous Chef or CDP in a quality, fast-paced kitchen
* Strong prep, grill, tandoor, or curry station skills. South Indian experience is a plus, but training is provided
* Working knowledge of allergens and Natasha's Law
* Food Hygiene Level 2 minimum or willingness to complete it on enrolment
* Calm under pressure, organised, a team player, and proud of consistent standards
* Right to work in the UK
