Due to the retirement of the existing post holder, we are seeking to appoint, to start in September 2025 (or at the end of the summer term), a Pastoral Lead Officer who will work alongside the existing Pastoral Manager.
The role takes responsibility for co-ordinating the pastoral care of all pupils who are vulnerable and also those disengaged with learning, specifically those children with social, emotional, and behavioural issues, ensuring the continuity of learning and social development.
Your role will include leading on behaviour, child protection, attendance, medical and dietary needs, nurture, and family liaison.
This is a non-teaching role, although you will be expected to support groups of children in the classroom and in small groups or 1-1 settings.
This role will also involve being a contact on behalf of the school with Children and Family Services and other relevant organisations, handling all related matters.

* Support and promote the strong Christian ethos and values of this Church of England School, both within the school and the local community.
* Be able to lead safeguarding efforts, attending meetings where necessary.
* Be flexible, open to change, and have a good sense of humour.
