HLTA – The Role
Support high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including covering classes during teacher absence.
Deliver engaging small-group interventions and targeted booster sessions to help pupils achieve key learning outcomes.
Work closely with class teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver structured learning activities.
Provide 1:1 support for pupils who require additional help, including children with SEN or EAL.
Contribute to assessments, track pupil progress, and assist with maintaining an organised and effective classroom environment.

HLTA – Key Requirements
A recognised HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at a higher level within a primary school.
Proven experience supporting or leading lessons across Key Stage 1 and/or 2.
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective behaviour/classroom management strategies.
Confident, proactive, and passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
