Description
Offshore Renewables division of a FTSE 100 energy business seeks a Senior Solicitor to support the business on major offshore projects. Hybrid - two days a week in a regional office required.
An exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills in a high profile and rapidly evolving sector playing a critical role in supporting the transition towards net zero.
Responsibilities
* You will provide legal advice and support to various stakeholders
* Providing high quality legal support on a variety of construction and commercial matters for the development of new off‑shore projects and once operating. These may include FIDIC, NEC, Logic, O&M, design, supply and installation agreements.
* Gain a clear understanding of strategic priorities and assist in ensuring these are delivered.
* Engage and manage external counsel.
* Build and maintain good business relationships.
* Mentor and manage more junior lawyers in the team.
We are looking for
* Qualified lawyer in either England and Wales, Scotland or Ireland
* Trained with a well‑regarded law firm or in‑house
* Confident solicitor with construction or commercial law experience
* Experience working on complex projects, with some exposure to renewable or offshore energy projects required
* Ideally experience drafting and negotiating various construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC and O&M an advantage
