Position Job Purpose (Role Definition): Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Procurement, this position is to lead procurement activities to support production, R&D and the wider group business. Leading logistics operations and warehouse management initiatives, including inbound and outbound supply of goods, inventory stockholding. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations Use of MRP to balance demand and supply Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and cost down initiatives Deliver briefs in line with departmental & business KPIs (OTIF, Open POs etc.) Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement Support development of KPIs, SLAs, and performance reporting for supplier delivery, warehouse inventory & distribution Ensure inventory is kept within approved limits (realistic & cost effective). Reduction of obsolescence in line with company targets Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
