About Us:
Based in Wales, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead powerline infrastructure across the UK. Our projects require skilled professionals, and we're currently looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team.
Overview:
As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning and coordination of projects across the UK. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project schedules using ASTA PowerProject, ensuring alignment between project plans, on-site activities, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, monitor, and update project programmes using ASTA PowerProject
* Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure realistic timelines and resource planning
* Analyse project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
* Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports, client updates, and programme submissions
* Support tender and pre-construction planning for upcoming projects
* Ensure planning outputs comply with internal standards, client requirements, and industry regulations
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Planning Engineer
* Proficient in ASTA PowerProject
* Familiarity with overhead line projects, or similar infrastructure (desirable)
* Strong understanding of project planning principles, contract timelines, and CDM requirements
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple projects and priorities across geographically dispersed sites

* A team player with a willingness to adapt to changing project needs.
