Known for excellence and customer satisfaction, the business is now seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team and support wider operations.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, processing transactions efficiently, and supporting the finance function across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting systems, and the ability to manage multi-currency transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Input and process purchase invoices in a timely manner
1. Post and allocate cash receipts and payments
2. Upload and process payments using Sage accounting software
3. Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledger records
4. Process transactions in both Sterling and Euro currencies
5. Carry out general office administration and support finance/operations teams
6. Perform bank reconciliations (desirable but not essential)
7. Assist with VAT returns (desirable but not essential)
What you'll need to succeed
8. Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a similar accounts or finance support role
9. Technical Skills:Working knowledge of Sage (or similar accounting software)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelUnderstanding of multi-currency transactions (Sterling & Euro)
10. Personal Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellentmunication and organisational skillsAbility to manage administrative tasks effectively
