Our Client is seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join their reputable team in Southampton. Competitive base salary up to £49,000, depending on experience and skillset
OTE of approximately £50,000, with paid overtime and occasional Saturday work at half pay
Monday to Friday, 08:00 17:00, including paid lunch and coffee breaks, plus team-cooked lunches

Modern workshop facilities, including pits, lifts, and rolling road for efficient repairs

Duties include:
Repair and maintain a fleet of around 20 trucks, mainly Renault, with a focus on quality repairs rather than part replacements
Diagnose faults on heavy Goods Vehicles and trailers using diagnostic procedures
Perform servicing, routine maintenance, and fault rectification in a well-equipped environment
Support fleet cover on occasional Saturday mornings
Maintain communal tools and equipment, ensuring a collaborative workshop environment
Candidate specifications:
Fully qualified HGV Technician with a Class 1 licence preferred; newly qualified or those in training with the right attitude are encouraged to apply
Experience working on heavy goods vehicles and trailers, with knowledge of diagnostic procedures
Full UK driving licence, with Class 1 advantageous
Positive attitude, loyalty, and a team player mentality are essential
IRTEC certification and VOSA Etech training are beneficial but not mandatory
Own tools preferred; communal tools will be provided and maintained
Time-served technicians are welcome; NVQ Level 3 is not strictly necessary
