Social Work Consultant – Practice Development
Work with York Limited is working with our York based client to find multiple experienced Social Workers for their Adult Social Care Services teams to provide support and training to direct caseholders. This is a temporary 6‑month assignment with a scope to be extended. It is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is available and weekly access to the York office is required.
Competitive rate weekly pay, holiday pay and pension with online timesheets.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high quality practice in accordance with procedures, practice guidance and the Practice Model.
* Support the Service Manager through supervision of practitioners, particularly ASYE, those in the early stages of their career and those who do not hold a Social Work qualification, driving practice and overall outcomes for people with social care needs and their carers.
* Provide peer support to qualified social workers to ensure a high quality practice.
* Assist social workers with decision making.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A relevant Social Work qualification.
* A minimum of 5 years recent Social Work experience within an Adult Social Work team.
* IT skills, preferably experienced with Mosaic.
* Eligibility to work within the UK.
* Must be SWE registered.
* Have an enhanced adults DBS on the Update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
* Show creativity and strong values and standards.
Pay will depend on qualifications and experience.
