About the Role
Alton Towers Resort is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Park Operations Manager to lead in delivering safe, seamless, and unforgettable experiences for millions of guests annually. This senior leadership position is central to our daily park operations. You will oversee large operational teams, champion guest service excellence, and collaborate across departments to ensure the park operates smoothly, safely, and to the highest brand standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Park Operations, this role offers an opportunity to shape the operational core of the UK's most iconic theme park.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership and support for daily park operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and enjoyment for guests and staff.
2. Act as a decision-maker during daily operations, managing incidents, coordinating with teams, and resolving guest complaints.
3. Oversee park readiness, ensuring all areas meet brand standards, are well-maintained, and are prepared for peak seasons, events, and new openings.
4. Collaborate with relevant teams to maximize ride uptime and operational efficiency.
5. Fulfill Resort Duty Manager responsibilities as needed.
6. Lead, coach, and motivate operational teams to deliver exceptional service and standards.
7. Monitor guest experience and address feedback proactively.
8. Work with Planning and Business Support teams to meet KPIs, mystery visit targets, and enhance guest experience through process and training improvements.
9. Ensure compliance with Merlin Entertainments' Health, Safety, and Security policies.
Qualifications & Experience: About You
We seek an inspiring leader with experience in senior operational roles within theme parks, hospitality, leisure, or similar sectors. You should have:
* A proven background in senior operational leadership.
* A guest-first mindset with strong communication skills.
* Experience managing large teams, motivating and developing staff.
* Ability to resolve issues efficiently and adapt to dynamic operational needs.
* Deep understanding of safety and compliance requirements.
* A collaborative, hands-on approach engaging stakeholders.
* Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
