Position: SEN Primary Teacher
Location: Hambrook School, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 8HZ
Salary: Up to £44,310 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Start date: September 2025

About The Role
At Hambrook School, no two days are the same. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Planning and delivering exciting, creative lessons that engage and inspire
* Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, ensuring personal development and wellbeing are prioritised alongside academic achievement
* Collaborating closely with our expert multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, effective learning environment
* Using innovative approaches to bring learning to life in and beyond the classroom

Who We're Looking For
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Is passionate about teaching pupils with SEN, particularly autism and complex needs
* Brings creativity, patience, and dedication to the classroom
* Communicates clearly and compassionately with pupils, families, and professionals
* Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a committed and caring team
About Us
Hambrook School is in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We opened in September 2023 and secured an Ofsted ‘Good’ rating in just 7 short months!
We help pupils excel by providing a structured, nurturing approach, alongside a broad, balanced, engaging and richly resourced curriculum. All our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP. We are looking for the perfect person to join us for this next stage of our journey.
We offer bespoke personalised care that allows each pupil's needs to be addressed, and their capabilities fully realised. We offer our pupils a flexible, safe and nurturing environment for them to develop and grow. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
