About the Centre

The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), based at Cambridge Judge Business School, is a global research centre focused on addressing information gaps in alternative finance, digital financial services and emerging financial technologies.


Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Centre Manager to lead on operational delivery and support the strategic development of the Centre’s expanding portfolio. The role lasts 12 months in the first instance.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Centre, ensuring the successful delivery of CCAF’s research and activity programmes.
* Manage core administrative functions, including monitoring project progress, maintaining financial oversight and leading procurement processes.
* Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders and support grant applications.
* Oversee funded projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with university and funder requirements.
* Lead CRM system maintenance, GDPR compliance and communications in collaboration with CCAF’s digital and events teams.
* Build strong relationships with academic, professional and external partners and work cross‑functionally with a team.


Qualifications

* Substantial experience in project and financial management, preferably in a university or research setting.
* Comfortable managing budgets, deadlines and cross‑functional teams.
* Experience with grant funding processes and knowledge of university systems a plus.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
* Confidence in navigating complex systems, drafting clear reports and supporting the wider team to deliver high‑quality outputs in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
