Carmichaels are seeking a Section Engineer to work on a major Tier 1 highways project in Cambridgeshire.
You will oversee junior engineers on site and assist with construction operations. You will collaborate with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, equipment, and materials to meet required standards, schedules, and budgets.
Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving technical issues in coordination with the senior team and Sub Agent. You will also monitor and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work meets contractual requirements, quality assurance.
Additionally, you will ensure the team has all necessary information and resources to perform their duties, assist in producing schedules, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
About The Candidate
HNC/Degree (construction/civil engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
You must hold the following competencies:
CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities combines with construction supervision skills
