6 Highways, you will report to the
Business Development Director, Highways
and be responsible for achieving new orders to meet targets within Telent's Highways division. Your focus will be on business development and opportunity qualification activities to drive growth through contract renewals and new customer acquisition. You will lead virtual teams to meet financial and strategic objectives, own an account plan, and contribute to the Highways business strategy, including market targeting and solution differentiation to ensure profitable growth. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to secure new multi-million-pound contracts and maintaining relationships with existing customers to grow revenue. You will be responsible for: Maintaining and developing Telent's sales relationships with existing and new customers Building an opportunity pipeline supporting growth aspirations Achieving profitable orders from both existing and new clients Contributing to proposals, presentations, bid submissions, and marketing communications Keeping CRM data current with account, contact, and opportunity details Leading Highways marketing activities in collaboration with the marketing department Enhancing customer care and satisfaction scores The role requires proven experience managing key customer relationships (e.g., Highways, Transport Scotland, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Traffic Wales), and achieving sales targets to support business growth. Through delivering high customer service levels and securing profitable new business, you will help strengthen Telent's position in the UK Highways Sector.
