The School & Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced Primary School SEN Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a special school in Halesowen for a Primary School SEN Teacher who has experience working within a specialist setting and is able to implement an autism friendly practice. As a Primary School SEN Teacher the class you will be teaching consists of 8 pupils ranging from year 5 to year 7, all with an ASD diagnosis and some with limited language. There can also be some occasional behavioral issues with the children, mainly linked to their autism. This is a full-time position as a Primary School SEN Teacher, which will run until the end of the academic year.
The school is an all-age Special School where all our pupils are valued as individuals. Th schools aim is to motivate their pupils to achieve their aspirations and full potential whilst fully supporting their families. Their mission statement is Achieve, Believe and Challenge'. The school caters for pupils with complex needs of ASD, Language and Social Communication as well as Cognition and Learning.

Responsibilities:
As a Primary School SEN Teacher, your role will include:
Plan and deliver Primary based lessons, for students from year 5 to year 7.
Create a safe, calm, and sensory-considerate classroom space.
Differentiate tasks, materials, and assessments according to pupils abilities and interests.
Incorporate visual supports, structured routines, and sensory-friendly approaches.
Support behaviour management and pupil engagement across the school day.
Set clear, achievable learning objectives.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
* Experience Have SEN experience, particularly supporting with Autism.
* Empathy & Understanding A nurturing, patient approach
* Strong Behavioural Management Calm under pressure, supportive and consistent
* Adaptability & Resilience Able to meet varied needs across different schools
* Excellent Communication With pupils, staff, and families
