Foreperson - Aggregates Operations

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Foreperson to lead our Aggregate operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, and maintaining high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy, Local Managers' Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
* Lead and motivate a team, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of labour, plant, and materials.
* Operate, inspect, and maintain the asphalt plant to meet production and quality standards.
* Plan daily production based on customer requirements and plant capacity.
* Manage start-up and shut-down procedures and optimise throughput.
* Conduct thorough inspections and monitoring of plant equipment.
* Perform maintenance and repairs within competence and manufacturer guidelines.
* Operate mobile plant equipment (Front-End Loaders, dumpers) for loading and material movement.
* Refuel and maintain mobile plant (greasing, cleaning) as per Heidelberg Materials standards.
* Complete daily inspection sheets and report defects promptly.
* Submit near-miss reports and maintain accurate records.
* Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.

* Experience in aggregate operations or similar environment.

* Ability to operate and maintain static and mobile plant equipment.
