Madras College Community Use is a team dedicated to making a wide range of our facilities accessible for learning, leisure, and cultural events. Partnering with various organisations, we deliver an inclusive programme of activities, including physical activity & sport, performing arts, arts & crafts, cookery, modern languages and vocational training. Role
Casual Receptionist — you will report directly to the Admin Support Officer, and play a key role in providing excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include engaging positively with customers and service users, responding to enquiries via telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face interactions, and inputting onto our Leisure Information Management System.
Responsibilities
* Deliver an efficient reception service, adhering to established procedures, and ensuring customer care policies are upheld.
* Follow service guidelines and health and safety policies; be familiar with associated risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
* Be part of a wider area team providing administrative and clerical support to Community Use.
* Maintain registers and waiting lists, cash up and reconcile cash against booking sheets and registers, handle and resolve customer complaints, comments and compliments and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
* Be educated to SCQF level 4.
* Be confident and composed when interacting with people at all levels.
* Be flexible and able to work on their own initiative.
* Demonstrate excellent team working skills.
* Have a good understanding of IT and be capable of using various internal systems.
* Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
