Position : Electronics Engineer
PLEASE NOTE : Due to security clearance requirements, you MUST be a UK National to be considered. At an early part of the recruitment process you will be required to provide proof of UK nationality.
Location : Lincolnshire
Academic : Degree level qualification in electronics or very similar is essential
Level : Minimum of 2 years professional experience post graduation required
Salary : £30,000 - £45,000 according to experience and ability
The Role :
You will work with a team of multidisciplinary Engineers working at the forefront of development projects for safety critical products. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from concept to implementation.
This is very much a hands-on position which will see you undertake engineering tasks on specific projects in addition to providing coordination and coherence across all projects. The role will enable learning points and best practice to be shared throughout the team and will ensure efficient future development through commonality and re-use of designs, verification, and qualification data.
Day to Day
* You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for new and existing high reliability safety critical products.
* Provide inputs to ensure products are designed and developed on time and to cost.
* Understand new product requirements and support sales in customer bid work.
* Liaising with customers as required.
* Provide expert design inputs
* Demonstrate an understanding of Engineering and manufacturing techniques as well as product environmental requirements.
* Taking part in design reviews, providing inputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
About You
You will meet as many of the following as possible :-
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or very similar
* UK passport holder - THIS IS ESSENTIAL
* A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in a Product Engineering role.
* Experience of testing and assembly of electronic components and products
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, able to work as part of a team
* An understanding of systems engineering techniques beneficial
* Exposure to Safety Critical design requirements would be beneficial
* Adaptable, with good attention to detail and quality mind-set.
* Computer literate, using MS platforms such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
* Ability to manage own time and workload.
Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to gain full UK Security Clearance once in the business.
