As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £12.75 per hour Contract duration: Fixed Term until 28th February 2026 Hours/working pattern: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. You'll work 500 hours over the duration of the contract, including 1 weekend day, with approximately one weekend off in 4 according to business requirements. What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll be part of our Visitor Reception team at Kedleston Hall. You'll join a very welcoming and supportive team. working in small teams of 2-3 most days, with the additional assistance of our amazing volunteer team. What you'll be doing:As a Welcome & Service Assistant, day to day, you’ll help us deliver exceptional customer service. You'll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience. You may be the first face our visitors see. It’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, and sets them up for an amazing experience for the rest of their day, ensuring they get the most out of it. This could include but is not limited to:- recommending walks, discussing membership options, helping promote our upcoming events, providing our tramper or buggy services for access requirements or even helping with the car parking. You’ll inspire visitors with our cause and purpose by being an ambassador for the great value and benefits of National Trust membership and be able to feel confident talking to visitors about this. As part of the team, you’ll be vital in helping towards the delivery of our fundraising targets including memberships and pin badges.
