A Good secondary school in Maidstone is seeking a dedicated and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping students overcome barriers to learning and personal development.
The successful candidate will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing targeted behaviour and pastoral support to improve engagement, attendance and wellbeing. You will support students on both a one-to-one basis and within small groups, helping them build confidence, resilience and positive behaviour for learning.
Responsibilities will include implementing behaviour intervention strategies, monitoring student progress and working collaboratively with pastoral leaders, teaching staff and families to ensure students receive consistent support. You may also assist with reintegration meetings, restorative conversations and supporting students during unstructured times throughout the school day.
The school is looking for someone calm, patient and resilient who can build positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations and professional boundaries. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
