Who We’re Looking For – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
We’re seeking a passionate and committed graduate who:
* Holds a 2:1 degree (or higher) in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or similar
* Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN—through teaching assistant roles, youth work, care, or volunteering
* Demonstrates emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience, and a steady presence in challenging situations
* Communicates clearly and builds trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
* Aspires to grow in a long-term career working with children, education, therapy, or SEN
What You’ll Be Doing – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a key member of our support team, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with varying and complex needs
* Help tailor classroom activities to meet individual EHCP-driven goals
* Assist pupils in emotional regulation, use of communication strategies, and positive behavioral routines
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, therapists, and the SENCo to nurture consistent, high-quality care
* Encourage and celebrate ‘small wins’ every day, helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence
