Children’s Residential Deputy Manager
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Children’s Residential Deputy Manager to help lead a specialist residential home supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a children’s residential home in Luton. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help lead the service and ensure children and young people receive the highest standards of care and support within a safe, nurturing and positive environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about improving outcomes for young people and supporting staff teams to deliver exceptional care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
* Ensuring safeguarding practices and care standards are maintained at all times
* Supporting the development and review of care plans and individual support programmes
* Leading, mentoring and supervising staff members
* Assisting with recruitment, induction and staff development
* Promoting positive relationships with children, families and external professionals
* Chairing meetings and contributing to care reviews where required
* Supporting the home to meet all relevant legislation, policies and quality standards
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People
* Working towards or holding a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
* Experience working within children’s residential care
* Knowledge of supporting children with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* The ability to motivate and develop staff teams
* A genuine passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives
