Job Title: SEND Teacher – Full-Time
Location: South Liverpool
Salary: £140–£180 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

About the Role: Milk Education is working in partnership with a warm and welcoming SEND School in South Liverpool, seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team full-time. The school caters to pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
You’ll be teaching a small class of around 8–12 pupils, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a creative, patient, and resilient educator who can adapt learning to meet individual needs and foster a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP targets and individual learning profiles.
* Use a range of communication methods including PECS, Makaton, and sensory strategies.
* Create a structured, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families.
* Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews and assessments.
* Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
* Experience working in SEND settings, particularly with ASD and PMLD.
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and safeguarding.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A nurturing, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching.
