Overview of Chief Information Security Office (CISO):

Overview of the Role:
Citi is looking for a security focused person with a good understanding of cybersecurity principles to work in the Cloud Threat Modeling team. Using threat modeling you will identify threats and specify mitigating controls which will directly reduce the risk of Citi operating in the public cloud.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform Threat Modeling using a documented process
2. Development of automation tools as required
3. Maintain a high standard of work in identifying threats and specifying mitigating controls
4. Attending to the lifecycle of identified threats and controls
5. Delivery of threat models and supporting tasks within existing timeframes
6. Provide feedback, support, and improvements to the existing threat modeling process
7. Present work to seniors, the team, and other technical teams
Qualifications:
8. Extensive experience in a Cybersecurity role.
9. Proven experience with Jira or other similar ticketing systems.
10. Strong understanding of security best practices related to Authentication, Authorization, Logging/Monitoring, Encryption, Infrastructure Security, and Network Segmentation.
11. Experience with scripting languages (, Python, Bash, PowerShell) or Infrastructure as Code tools (, Terraform, CloudFormation).
12. Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies like STRIDE, PASTA, Attack Trees, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework, as well as threat modeling tools (, IriusRisk, ThreatModeler, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool).
13. Ability to identify vulnerabilities using CWE or OWASP frameworks.
14. Working knowledge of Operating Systems (, Windows, Linux) and their hardening best practices.
15. Familiarity with Development Concepts such as CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC.
16. Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms (, AWS, Azure, GCP).
17. Ability to design and review technical architectures.
18. Strong analytical skills, diligence, and attention to detail.
19. Excellent skills in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation.
20. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
21. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
22. A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies.
23. Proven ability to build relationships across multiple cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
24. Proven experience specifically focused on Threat Modeling.
25. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless Technologies (, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions), and Helm.
26. Familiarity with Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and GitOps principles.
27. Experience supporting or performing Penetration Testing activities (, vulnerability scanning, network penetration testing, web application testing, mobile application testing).
28. Experience with Snowflake, MongoDB, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, or Databricks.
29. Experience working in a regulated environment (, financial services).
30. Ability to think like an attacker and anticipate potential threats.

While certifications are not strictly required, possessing one or more of the following certifications is highly desirable:
