We are seeking a caring, patient and resilient SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a wonderful school. This rewarding role involves working closely with a student on a one-to-one basis, helping them access learning, build confidence, and make consistent progress within a nurturing and structured environment. Beginning May 2025.

Duties as a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide personalised, 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties)
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
* Adapt tasks and learning materials to suit the pupil’s needs
* Foster emotional wellbeing, communication and independence
* Support learning both in and out of the classroom, including during transitions and unstructured times
* Maintain clear and accurate records of progress and behaviour
Ideal SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a 1:1 setting
* A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to follow support plans while using initiative to respond to the pupil’s needs
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable
* A genuine passion for supporting children to thrive
