* Prior domestic or cleaning experience is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide and maintain cleaning services in all public, patient, staff, and residential areas.
2. Respond quickly and efficiently to cleaning requests following spillages.
3. Deliver specialist cleaning processes for furnishings, flooring, and surfaces.
4. Clean general and patient equipment in accordance with guidance from Infection Control, Matrons, and Facilities Managers.
5. Clean isolation areas and infection areas in accordance with Trust Infection Control Policy.
6. Clean patient areas ready for re‑occupancy.
7. Assist in maintaining safe and tidy ward/department areas (e.g., removing clutter, unwanted or out‑of‑date notices).
8. Report problems with cleanliness to the housekeeper and/or supervisor.
9. Dispose of household, confidential, and clinical waste in accordance with legislation and Trust policy.
10. Maintain and clean manual and electrical cleaning equipment.
11. Be aware of the safety of other people's property and belongings.
Governance Responsibilities
* Maintain confidentiality and privacy of information at all times.
* Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines, alerting senior management if practice appears contravene policy or if concerned about any issues.
