A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ISO to join the YHROCU Online Serious and Organised Crime Cryptocurrency Team - we’re looking for passionate, proactive staff to help lead the way in the fight against online serious and organised crime.
The role of an Investigative Support Officer (ISO), within this specialised investigation team at YHROCU, is to perform a complex case building function for Cyber and Cryptocurrency related cases. This includes acting as disclosure officer for the investigations into the most serious and complex criminality that results in the successful prosecution of offenders.
The role involves preparing complex prosecution files for serious offences, undertaking further evidential enquiries, acting as the conduit between the investigation team and CPS / Counsel, and attending court for hearings and trials. ISOs are required to hold a CILEX certificate of Criminal Justice Administration, or equivalent qualification.
You must have a good standard of numeracy and literacy with the knowledge and ability to operate computerised databases and spreadsheets and be willing to successfully complete training courses in line with the role. See role profile for essential criteria.
A successful applicant will be capable of taking ownership of disclosure for complex investigations, liaising with key stakeholders across Law Enforcement in the UK and beyond, developing their own knowledge through an established training / CPD pathway, and will have a keen interest in digital technologies and innovative approaches to investigation that they are willing to grow.
A successful applicant will also need to be a proven team player and work closely with our parallel Protect, Prevent and Prepare teams, as well as closely with Regional DFU and Cyber teams.
Funding is confirmed for this post until 31st March 2029, however, it is anticipated to continue thereafter.
