A global specialist in the design and manufacture of high-temperature metal seals for aerospace, automotive and power generation sectors are seeking a Production Engineering Technician to join their Production Engineering team to drive the next phase of development and growth.
To be a successful in this role you will ideally have proven skills and experience in the following:
1. Interpreting engineering drawings, designing and manufacturing roll and/or press tools.
2. Setting and operating CNC lathes, and other toolmaking equipment.
3. Trouble shooting faults, trialling and repairing tools, improving part manufacturing processes.
4. Performing production-acceptance trials, inspecting parts visually and with measuring equipment.
5. Developing new part manufacturing processes, estimating tool and product costs.
6. Keeping effective records during tool development and establishing design rules.
7. Providing training and mentoring to colleagues, providing operational process coverage where required.
To be considered for the role you should ideally:
8. Be a time-served mechanical engineer or equivalent experience.
9. Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills. Ideally, documentation and time management experience.
10. Have worked in a fast-paced Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent environment.
11. Comfortable working to targets, good problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail.
12. Have good working CNC knowledge (ideally Fanuc/ProtoTrak). CAD experience (ideally AutoDesk) desirable.
13. Ideally have small component metal cutting, forming, welding, rolling, and inspection
